This page is offered to provide student drop-off and pick-up procedures and parking at the Wahsatch and Corona Campuses of Cheyenne Mountain Charter Academy and The Vanguard School. Additional information, including printed material and maps of the campus, can be obtained from any of the building secretaries.

Wahsatch Campus (Grades K-4) Drop-Off and Pick-Up Information
Kindergarten Drop-Off and Pick-Up
Drop-Off and Pick-Up Procedures for Kindergarten (near Southern Cross Shopping Center)
(Use the east entrance into the Kindergarten Building for drop-off and pick-up)
To drop off or pick up your kindergartner, you may do one of two things:
- Park in the main CMCA parking lot east of the Kindergarten building and walk your student in or pick them up.
- Follow carpool line to drop kindergartners off and pick them up.

-- Drop-Off: If you have more than one student at CMCA, you may use the carpool line to drop your morning kindergartener off at the main building. The kindergarteners will be collected and walked over to their building at 7:45 AM. In order to use this system your kindergartner must be dropped off in the main building by 7:45 AM.
-- Pick-Up: If your kindergartener is in the morning session, please pick him up at the kindergarten building at 11:00 AM. If your kindergartener is in the afternoon session, he will be walked over to the main building and you will be able to pick him up with your other children.
Students should not be dropped off before 7:30 AM. No supervision is available before this time.
Grades 1-4 Drop-Off and Pick-Up
If you choose to use the carpool system, you must follow these procedures:
- Do not let your student get out of the car on St. Elmo Street. You must pull into the student drop-off/pick-up lanes on the east side of the building and on Wahsatch Avenue.
- Upon exiting you must turn right onto Wahsatch Avenue.
- No left turn at the entrance into student drop-off/pick-up lane east of the building.
- Stay in your car at all times.
- Make sure your students are ready to get out of the car quickly. Students should have their backpacks ready and should exit the car on the right-hand side.
If you choose to park and walk your children into school you must follow these procedures.
Where to park:
- You may park on both sides of the street north of the Wahsatch Avenue/St. Elmo Street intersection. Please walk your children across the street. Students may enter through the north or east student entrances.
- You may park in the parking lot to the west of the main building.
- Walking students may enter either the north double doors or the east student entrance doors (after 7:30 AM).
Where not to park:
- Please reserve the office parking spaces for those who need assistance in the front office.
- You may not park in the Staff parking lot next to the carpool line.
- You may not park on the Wahsatch Avenue carpool lane drop-off area (west side of Wahsatch Avenue).
- You may not park in St. Joseph’s Church parking lot.

Corona Campus (Grades 5-12) Drop-Off and Pick-Up Information
TO DROP OFF A STUDENT AT THE CORONA CAMPUS UPPER LOT :
- Please approach the campus from the south and make a right turn into the driveway.
- Please exit the campus by making a right turn onto Corona Avenue and heading north.
Grades 5 & 6 Drop-Off and Pick-Up
The drop-off and pick-up zone for these grades is in the northwest corner of the upper-level parking lot nearest the flagpole, designated with cross-hatching on the pavement. CMCA staff will be present to assist your child(ren) in getting out of and into your vehicle. Areas in front of the High School and Junior High Buildings are NOT appropriate drop-off and pick-up locations. The right lane against the sidewalk is the CARPOOL LANE ONLY. The left lane is for those visitors who INTEND TO PARK. For the children's safety, please DO NOT drop off or pick up children in the left lane. It is also recommended and encouraged that if you wish to park and drop off or pick up your child(ren), that you utilize the appropriately-marked crosswalk areas and accompany your child(ren) to and from the school building(s).
Upper-Level Lot Parking
The east end of the upper-level parking lot will be chained. Those who wish to park should continue around, in the left lane, to the west end of the parking lot and enter there.
Grades 7-12 Drop-Off and Pick-Up
The drop-off and pick-up zone for these grades will be at the lower-level parking lot in the rear of The Vanguard School. This lot can be accessed off Corona Avenue at the northern border of the Corona Campus. **NOTE: A sibling of a 7th-12th grader may be dropped off or picked up at this location also, and then walk through the High School to their appropriate building. Alternatively, those vehicles carrying BOTH 7th-12th grade students AND 5th-6th grade students may now be dropped off in the upper-level carpool lane designated with cross-hatching on the pavement. **REMINDER - there is to be NO drop-off in front of either the High School Building or Junior High School Building...please proceed forward to the designated area.
Other General Information
1. The front (west) doors to The Vanguard School (facing the upper-level parking lot) will be locked until 8:00 AM. ALL student arrivals MUST enter from the lower-level lot.
2. For children's safety, there are to be NO drop-offs or pick-ups on Corona Avenue or on the access road leading to the lower-level parking lot (adjacent to the Soccer Field).
3. When exiting the Corona Campus from the upper-level parking lot, drivers in the LEFT LANE may proceed straight onto Hunter Avenue, or turn left onto Corona Avenue. Drivers in the RIGHT LANE must TURN RIGHT onto Corona Avenue.
