Dear Friend of CMCA and The Vanguard School,

Along with your student’s success, Cheyenne Mountain Charter Academy/The Vanguard School lists financial responsibility as its top priority. As a public charter school, that accountability and oversight from the Board of Directors has allowed us to serve the community for over 15 years as a K-8 program and then expand into The Vanguard School, an outstanding four-year high school program. Our new 29-acre campus was made possible by public bonds based on our academic performance and financial responsibility. Our funding comes to us in the same manner as every public school: tax dollars, through the Colorado Department of Education and to the school as Per Pupil Revenue based on our student count.

The school has three key fundraisers. First is it’s annual Lend a Hand Campaign, where families are asked to donate $100 per student attending school. Second, and a culminating event of the Lend a Hand Campaign, is the Spring Benefit Bash, CMCA's annual silent auction. Third, and relatively new, is the Scrip gift card program. The school purchases gift cards at reduced prices and sells them at face value, earning a percentage off each Scrip card earned. Proceeds from these fundraising events directly support excellence in education.

In addition to our annual campaign, we have been the fortunate and grateful recipients of generous donations of materials and funds from many sources and actively solicit such gifts.

Visit the front office of any building to purchase Safeway or King Soopers gift cards to pay for your groceries. You will earn 10% for CMCA all year long by purchasing these gift cards. Your purchase of Safeway and King Soopers grocery certificates can be used to purchase gift cards to many other retail businesses. For every $825 in King Soopers and Safeway grocery certificates you purchase, you receive a $25 Lands’ End card and the school benefits as well.

eScrip Safeway 10% Back to School Program
Please check the bottom of your Safeway receipts for the 10% Back-to-Schools section. You can log on to www.backtoschools.eScrip.com, choose "CMCA" and enter the number listed on your receipts, or bring the the receipts to Robin Nickel at the Wahsatch Campus front office. If your receipts don't have a 10% section, you can still participate by bringing in your Safeway Club Card or by calling Mrs. Nickel at 719.471.1999, option "1" with your Club Card number.
